Latest Updated On 28/07/2022: In the case of making the question paper and answer sheet viral in the junior engineer's examination, another accused has been sent to jail on Wednesday after the police arrested him on Tuesday. The accused Deepak Kumar, who is going to jail, is a resident of Tarapur in Munger, Bihar.
The police arrested him from Tarapur and brought him to Ranch. Giving information about the matter, DSP Headquarters Forest Neeraj Kumar said that the arrested Deepak Kumar along with his boss Deepak Srivastava and fellow Subodh Kumar had gone to Ranchi's Marwari College on the day of the examination and provided the answer book to the candidates. Accused Deepak has also informed the police about the members of the gang. He also revealed the name of the gang leader.
He told that the kingpin is from Patna and Nalanda. Deepak has been arrested by PSI Animesh Shantikari and Ravi Keshari. The DSP has said that other members of this gang will also be arrested soon. The DSP said that on July 23, the police arrested Ranjit Mandal, a resident of Giridih, and sent him to jail. The police have found evidence of Deepak sending the question paper and answer book from mobile.
When the police reached ten minutes late, the accused would have fled to Deoghar.
Accused Deepak was preparing to go from Munger to Babadham. He also wore ocher clothes to go to Babadham. Meanwhile, the team of Namkum police reached his house and nabbed the accused. Deepak, who was caught by the police, told that he was ignorant in the matter. He was asked by Subodh Kumar alias Neetu, who lives in front of his residence in Patna's Jaiprakash Nagar, to move to Ranchi. On July 3, he reached Ranchi in a car with gang leader Deepak Srivastava and Subodh. At around nine o'clock in the morning, at the behest of Deepak Srivastava and Subodh, he got two people read the answer book from his mobile phone in front of the Marwari college. After that both went to take the exam. After that Subodh and Deepak Srivastava went to Giridih and Deepak went to his sister's house at Patratu and from there went to Purnia with his sister-in-law for examination.
