The vacant posts of Junior Engineer (JE) & Assistant Engineer (AE) in Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam will be filled soon. These posts have more than 60% vacancies. Out of 900 sanctioned posts of JE, around 650 are vacant. Similarly, out of about 400 vacancies of AE, about 350 are vacant. About 1000 vacant posts of JE & AE will be appointed soon. According to sources, during the meeting of the Board of Directors conduct on Thursday in Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation, it was decided to expedite the process of restoration on vacant posts under the recruitment rules of the state govt. In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Energy Department cum Avinash Kumar which are CMD of Development Corporation, Finance Secretary Ajay Kumar & MD of Transmission Corporation KK Verma and other officials attended. According to sources, more than 6 proposals were discussed in the meeting of the Board of Directors.
It was clear that the recruitment process would be expedited in all the companies of Energy Development Corporation. For this, the rules of the state govt will be adopted by not making separate appointment rules on behalf of the Energy Development Corporation. That is, it will be necessary for the candidates to be Jharkhandi for the 3rd and 4th grade jobs. Along with this, the people recruited on the basis of the appointment rules of the state government will get the benefit of promotion etc.

Dues will be paid in 48 installments
It was clear in the meeting that the dues of DVC, NTPC & other power companies will be paid in 48 installments by Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited. Such a proposal has been made by the central govt but it would have been possible only if the concerned power companies of the state got this scheme passed by the meeting of their board of directors.
