RRB Group D (Class - IV) Recruitment 2022 exams for one lakh posts from July latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 20/06/2022: After the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide 10 lakh government jobs in one and a half years, the recruitment exercise in the Railway Ministry has been intensified. Under this, for the recruitment of one lakh posts of Group-D (Class IV) in Indian Railways, examinations will start in several phases across the country from July, which will end in September. In this, more than 80 posts are of railway safety category. The responsibility of running passenger trains safely rests on their shoulders.
A senior Railway Board official said that 103769 posts are vacant in Group-D (Level-1). Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to start in the last week of July. The dates for this will be announced soon. Group-D has now been given Group-C status after the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. However, this is class IV i.e. 1800 grade pay level employees.

Appointment by June 2023: Group-D will mainly recruit employees related to safety. There are gangman, key-man, helper, khalasi, lineman, signal-trackman etc. Its notification was released in January 2019. The recruitment work will be completed by June 2023.
Examination in a day: The official said that the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of the zone will conduct the examination for recruitment to the vacant posts of Group-D. There are RRCs in all the 17 zones of the Railways. These examinations will be held simultaneously on one day across the country. Whereas, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts examinations for recruitment to other vacant posts. There are 21 RRBs across the india.
Recruitment of ASM Completed: Railway has completed the examinations for the recruitment of 8200 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and 1800 Assistant Station Master (ASM) vacancies.
