Latest Updated On 29/06/2022: After the Supreme Court recently expressed concern over the vacant medical seats, the government is preparing to develop a new mechanism for this. The Union Health Ministry (UHM) with the help of the National Medical Commission (NMC) will put in place such a process from the next session which will restricted the opportunity of seats remaining vacant till the last date of admission.

Currently, the Supreme Court had indicates deep displeasure when 1456 PG seats remained vacant. On the single hand, PG seats are less while on the other hand, the no. of seats left vacant is worrying. Similarly, 323 seats under All India quota of MBBS were also left vacant in this year. With the Exception of, about 3000 MBBS seats of management quota were not filled.
