Children of government schools will get computer education. For this, ICT Lab (Information and Communication Technology) is being expanded in the state. Now the process of setting up ICT labs in 3939 schools of the state has been started. Under this, labs will be made in Giridih district in maximum 117 schools.
Labs will be installed in 114 schools in Deoghar, 109 in Palamu and 105 in Garhwa. 77 schools of Ranchi district have been identified for this. Labs are already operating in 74 schools in Ranchi. The work of lab installation has been entrusted to two companies. These companies include Bennett Coleman & Company of Mumbai and Extramark Company of Noida. Computer education through labs in schools will start from July. Arrangements have to be made in the lab for 10 computers, projectors, web cameras, special chairs for 30 children, etc.

Instructions to provide rooms from schools: Jharkhand Education Project Council has been asked to provide a big room for the lab. Along with this, the schools have been asked to make elaborate arrangements for the safety of the lab. For this, schools can use the amount of school grant or school development fund. In this regard, project director Kiran Kumari Pasi has written a letter to the DEOs of all the districts.
Classes will start from July: Pratap Kumar of Jharkhand Education Project said that the installation work of labs has started in schools in Ranchi district. Work in other districts will also start soon. He said that for the first five years, the company would arrange for trainers in all the schools. These trainers will train the teachers for operation. After this the teachers will have to conduct the classes themselves.
