Latest Updated On 25/05/2022: Vocational education will start from the new academic session in 86 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools in Jharkhand. In these schools, education will be started in one trade each. This has been approved by the Central Govt. Trade has also been selected. These trades are related to the trade running in the Polytechnic and ITI of the respective district.
After studying vocational education till 12th in these trades, there will be a relaxation of two semesters for studying in Polytechnic and ITI. The Department of School Education and Literacy has made preparations for this. The Department of School Education and Literacy is going to start the Hub and Spoke scheme. In this, other schools will also be added (tagged) to the trade of vocational education running in government schools, where vocational education is not taught. Children of such school will be able to come one day a week to study vocational education. Later on such schools will also be treated as schools offering vocational courses.

892 drop out youth are getting trained: State government is training 892 drop out youth from government schools of Jharkhand. These youths are taking training in various trades of vocational education. For this 32 centers have been set up across the state. These are youths of 15-29 years who had dropped out in the middle. They are now being trained in each trade of vocational education. After taking training, the concerned youth will become proficient in that trade, which will be helpful for their better employment.
