The officials said that according to the IPHS standards, the posts of pharmacists are being cut. Only 73 posts of pharmacists are left in the district. The posts of pharmacists are not being kept in emergency duty. Emergency services are not possible without pharmacists in a state with a heterogeneous geographical location like Uttarakhand. In such a situation, the IPHS standards should not be applicable in the state. Pharmacists posted in government hospitals of Doon have a high workload. The posts of pharmacists are lying vacant in many hospitals for a long time. It is unfortunate that the posts are being cut. District President Sudha Kukreti said that talks could not be held with the CMO as he was busy in meeting elsewhere. All the problems have been reported to ACMO, Chief Administrative Officer. The meeting has been scheduled for next week. During this, District Minister CM Rana, Senior Vice President Vikram Singh Panwar, Vice President DP Badhani, Organization Minister Bhagwan Prasad Nautiyal, Joint Minister Sumela Bhatia were present.
