IIT-JEE Main Exam will now be held in 25 countries latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 24/05/2022: Separate IIT-JEE Main examination will be conducted in 25 countries for admission in NITs and other technical institutes of the country. This entrance exam will be organized in other countries including America, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, China, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar & United Arab Emirates.
For the 1st time, the central govt has given permission to conduct examinations in these countries. However, last year this exam was conduct in Kuala Lumpur, Lagos. Its effort is that more & more foreign students should study in India. For this, this year about 3900 graduate & 1300 para graduate seats for NRIs and Indian and foreign nationals studying abroad will also be made available in NITs and other technical institutions. Earlier, it was limited to twelve (12) countries. Now, This has been increased to 25 countries. Foreign students will be capable to admission in National Institute of Technology, National Institute of Information Technology, School of Planning & Architect and other central government funded technical educational institutions.

Seats will be Reserved in 31 NIITs
On the basis of JEE Advanced merit list, there are more than 40,000 seats of JFTI including 31 NITs, 23 Triple IT, as per the 23 IITs & JEE Main in the country. In the year 2021, 1,41,699 applicants appeared in both paper 1 & 2 of advance.
