Latest Updated On 15/05/2022: Allahabad High Court has stayed the transfer of constables working in PAC to Armed Police. At the same time, a reply has been sought from the state govt by 30 May in this matter. Justice Rajiv Joshi has provide this order after listening to advocate Agnihotri Kumar Tripathi on the petition of Sunil Kumar Chauhan & 186 other constables.

Advocate Agnihotri Kumar Tripathi told the court that the Additional Superintendent of Police, PAC Head Quarter Lucknow released an order on 7 May to transfer the PAC constables to the armed police. After that the petitioners were transferred from PAC to different districts & divisions. It was said that the transfer of PAC personnel can be done from one corps to another corps only in the PAC that too can be done by the Regional Armed Constabulary Establishment Board of the State Govt but it is clear from the order of the Additional Superintendent of Police that the government has made no such board has not been constituted. In this condition, the PAC constables can't be transferred out of the PAC.

Court gave 2 weeks time 

The court, while giving 2 weeks to the advocate to file a reply on the petition, said that the constables transferred during this period should not be relieved from their vacancies.
