Latest Updated On 15/04/2022: The entire focus of the Medical Education Department is now on preparing trained and quality nursing staff in the state. Its initiative has already started. The recruitment process has been started for about 160 posts in nursing colleges affiliated to seven medical colleges of the state. The department is going to release the advertisement of the recruitment soon.
Talking about nursing and paramedical staff, the participation of government sector in UP is very less. Only four and a half per cent nurses and paramedical staff are getting ready in government colleges. The result is that only 3014 successful candidates could be found in the recent recruitment process conducted by the Public Service Commission for 4743 staff nurses for government hospitals and medical colleges.
The focus of the government is on preparing better nursing and paramedical staff in the state. The recruitment process has been started in seven nursing colleges.

The recruitment process has been started for 160 posts in seven nursing colleges. With the creation of posts, the department has also got permission for recruitment. These include nursing colleges affiliated to Gorakhpur, Agra, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Meerut, Kannauj, Jhansi Medical College. There have also been 40-40 admissions in nursing in these colleges.
Recruitment will be done on these posts including Principal: These colleges include the posts of Principal, Vice Principal, Professor, Associate Professor and Tutor. For the time being, all of them will be kept on contract.
