 Latest Updated On 24/04/2022: A report has been sought from the board of Dhanbad in the matter of home guard reinstatement. The matter of reinstatement of Dhanbad Home Guard is now in the High Court. In the hearing held recently, a report related to the restoration has been sought from the DC, SSP and DSP Law and Order included in the board. However, after preparing the investigation report of the City SP, the SSP has submitted it to the DC, in which the then commandant to the company commander has been blamed for the mess in the restoration process. Now an important hearing in this matter is to be held in the High Court on 25 April 2022. This hearing has given hope to the newly selected soldiers. The jawans are hopeful that the date of training will be fixed in the court by the department.

In the month of December 2016, the reinstatement was taken out in Dhanbad Home Guard. In April 2017 the process of reinstatement started with physical examination. The merit list of 735 jawans was released in November 2017. Salary account of jawans, even PPF account has been opened. Now it was the turn to be sent to training, but the waiting period got longer. There was a glitch in the restoration. During the restoration process, the police started the action after the video of the officials collecting money from the candidates in the name of the candidates went viral. When the investigation started, the CD of the restoration process itself disappeared. The police also sent two people to jail in the case.


Compassionate reinstated soldiers will go on training: Issuing orders from the headquarters, it was told that direct restoration of other districts and compassionately restored soldiers will be sent on training at other places including Dhanbad. A total of 810 jawans will be sent to Dhurva, Hazaribagh and Dumka from 25th April to 05th June 2022 for basic training.
