Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, on Thursday issued the notification of Jharkhand Plus Two School Teacher and Non-Teaching Staff Appointment and Service Condition (Amendment) Rules, 2022.


In plus two schools, 50 per cent posts were reserved for high school teachers in the recruitment process till 2018-19. Positions that could not be filled by high school teachers would remain vacant. The Education Department changed its rule and instead of 50, 25 percent posts have been reserved for high schools. At the same time, if these posts are not filled, it will be filled by candidates from unreserved posts. For the appointment of teachers in plus two schools, Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission will take the application and there will be an examination. Matriculation and Inter have been made mandatory from Jharkhand in the recruitment process. In this, those high school teachers who have not done matriculation and inter from Jharkhand will not be able to apply.

Teachers of plus two schools will now get a pay scale of Rs 15,600-39,100 and grade pay 5400 as the preferred pay scale on completion of 12 years of service. Presently they get pay scale of 9300-34,800 and grade pay of 4800. After completion of 12 years of service, there will be a direct increase in the pay scale as the preferred pay scale. At the same time, if we talk about the teachers of high schools, there will be no change in their pay scale of 9300-34,800 in the preferred pay scale. Grade pay of 4800 in the preferred pay scale and a grade pay of 5400 in the selection pay scale for 24 years of service.


BEd final year candidates will be able to join

According to the new rules, the candidates who have completed the teacher training and are going to appear in the main examination will also be able to apply for the examination to be held for the appointment of teachers. It will be necessary to dedicate their training exam results before the date of publication of the result of appointment up to the time limit prescribed by JSSC or State Government. Only after this his recommendation will be made available to the department by JSSC.


50 marks mandatory


It will be mandatory for the general category candidates to get 50 percent marks in the postgraduate level examination, while it will be mandatory for the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates to get 45 percent marks.
