Seats vacant for the first time in mop up round, admission from today

Latest Updated On 05/04/2022: In medical colleges of the state, 79 seats remained vacant even after the second round of 85 percent seats. Admission will be done on these vacant MBBS seats from 5 April 2022 i.e.; from today under the mop-up round.

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board i.e.; BCECEB has released the revised merit list for admission on Monday. All the students who have appeared for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counseling (UGMAC) 2021 will have to ensure their enrollment through appearing in the mop-up round.


This time the maximum no. of 79 seats are left vacant in the mop-up round. Maximum no. of vacant seats are 21 in JKTMC & Hospital Madhepura. Along with this, 5 seats in Patna Medical College, 7 seats in IGIMS, 6 seats in NMC, 9 seats in ESIC Medical College Bihta, 5 seats in SKMC Muzaffarpur, 5 seats in VIMS Pawapuri, 5 seats in ANMMC Gaya, 2 seats in DMC Laheriasarai, 9 seats in GMC Bettiah, JLNMC & 5 seats are vacant in Bhagalpur.

MBBS BDS Admission 2022 seats vacant for the 1st time in mop up round in all government medical colleges latest news today



This is the 1st time that all the 11 govt medical colleges in the state have seats left for the mop-up round. Earlier, not so more seats remained vacant in the mop-up round. Simultaneously, for the first time, 25 out of 30 seats in the Government Dental College have remained vacant.

In 85% of the state, admission is to be done in 1151 seats by combining MBBS & BDS. Thus, under BCECEB, 1121 government MBBS & 30 government BDS seats are to be admitted. Simultaneously, 47 out of 51 seats in the Veterinary College were left vacant. Admission on these vacant seats will also be complete through mop-up round. The Board's Special Officer, Anil Kumar Sinha said that the applicants who are allotted seats in the BDS course will have to come to the Board's office on the same day and take admission.

446 seats vacant in private medical colleges

Simultaneously, this time admission is to be done on 1050 seats in private medical colleges. There are 446 seats are vacant in private medical colleges in the mop-up round. At the same time, 130 seats are left vacant in total 240 seats of private dental colleges. Admission to these vacant seats will be held from 5 to 10 April 2022 under the mop-up round. Students taking admission in private medical colleges will have to carry a Demand Draft (DD) of 12 lakh rupees & those seeking admission in private dental colleges will have to carry a demand draft of 50,000 Rupees.
