NEET PG Counseling 2021-22 latest news in hindi 08/01/2022:
The Supreme Court in an interim order on Friday approved the
commencement of counseling for admission to the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)-PG medical course for the
year 2021-22. It also upheld the validity of 27% reservation for OBC students
and 10% for Economically Weaker Sections i.e.; EWS.
A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna said,
"The counseling of NEET-PG for the year 2021-22 will be based on the
earlier criteria." That is, those with an annual income of up to 8 lakh rupees

The bench said, the counseling on the base of NEET-PG 2021
& NEET-UG 2021 will take effect, giving effect to the reservation recorded
in the notice generated on 29 July 2021. This includes 27% reservation for OBC &
10% for EWS Students.
Detailed hearing in March 2022
The bench said, there is a need for detailed order on all the petitions presented in the court in two days. We accept the recommendation of Pandey Committee that the criteria laid down in the Memorandum of 2019 will be used for the year 2021-22 so that the admission process is not chaotic. A decision on the validity of the norms will be taken after hearing the petitions in March.
Corrected income ceiling: Center
Justifying the income criteria, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said, the committee had submitted its report to the Center on December 31, 2021. Accordingly, the current income limit of Rs 8 lakh or less can be retained for EWS. Only those whose income is up to eight lakhs will be eligible for the benefit of reservation.
