Enrollment will be done on 500 vacant seats in Kasturba Schools
The process of enrollment will start in the session 2022-23 in all the six Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools and three Jharkhand Girls Residential Schools in the district. Instructions have been issued to start the process of admission in class six in residential girls' schools run for girls.
District Education Officer Prabala Khes has said in the instructions issued to all the wardens that by February 15, the approved list from the Block Education Committee should be made available to the office for enrollment in the academic session 22-23. All the nine schools have been asked to complete the process of enrollment in time. There are 350 seats in six Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools and 150 in three Jharkhand Residential Girls Schools i.e. total 500 seats. Experts say that at the block level, now parents will apply to the school for enrollment. Scrutiny of the application will prepare the list of qualified girl students. The list will be approved by the Block Education Committee. After that it will be sent to the district. The committee constituted under the chairmanship of DC will finalize the nomination list at the district level. In Kasturba schools, only the girl students of the respective block can apply. Preference is given to dropout girl students, girls from Naxal affected area and others. According to this, instructions have been issued by the state.
