The result of the examination for the post of driver constable in Bihar Police has been released on Monday. A total of 1639 candidates have been selected. In the year 2019, advertisement was issued for 1722 posts of Driver Constable. They have been finally selected on the basis of written, physical efficiency and vehicle driving efficiency test.

According to the Central Selection Board (Sepoy Recruitment), 68 posts were reserved for women from backward classes, but these posts remained vacant due to non-availability of qualified candidates. As a driver constable, 14 women candidates were available who have been selected. At the same time, a total of 22 posts were reserved for BSAP-1 (Gorkha Battalion). Against these vacancies only 7 qualified candidates became available who have been selected. 15 posts of this category remained vacant.
